General Questions:


What does my Cruise Only package include?
Your package includes onboard accommodations, meals and drinks (such as coffee, tea, and juice), entertainment, and all government taxes and fees. Your package does not include and not limited to: specialty restaurants, specialty drinks, alcoholic beverages, soft drinks, spa treatments, laundry, photographs, ship-to-shore phone, email, and Internet, shore excursions, gratuities, fuel surcharges, and items of a personal nature that are not specifically stated. You may add airfare, transfers, and travel protection for an additional fee.

Is cruising affordable and a good vacation value?
Yes! There are cruise vacations to suit every budget, from the cost-conscious to the most luxurious. Even more important, a cruise offers the best travel value for your money. Your fare includes all meals, your cabin, onboard daytime activities, nighttime parties and entertainment. So for once, you'll know what your vacation will end up costing you before you go. (Your only extra expenses will be drinks, optional shore excursions, and personal services such as massage or hairstyling.) You'll be amazed at the value.

How long are cruises?
From 3 days to 6 months. Most popular are 3,5,7 night cruises.

Where can I go?
Cruises visit practically any destination accessible by water. 

Are all ships and cruises fairly similar?
Far from it. Cruise ships can range from under 200 feet to over 1,000 feet. You can sail with anywhere from fewer than 100 fellow passengers to over 2,600. Experience atmospheres ranging from casual to formal, classically simple to ultra-deluxe.

What's an air/sea cruise?
A fly/cruise or air/sea cruise vacation package includes either free or much reduced airfare along with your cruise ticket. These money-saving options are available from most major North American cities and include transfers between the airport and ship as well as baggage handling.

Can I book on short notice?
Even the most popular cruises sometimes have space available because of late cancellations. But, to get exactly the ship, cabin and sailing date you want, you should plan and book early. Most cruise lines also offer early booking discounts for customers who plan ahead. Then, just sit back and anticipate all the fun you're going to have!

Do I need a passport?
This depends on the type of cruise and your destination. You'll probably need at least some proof of citizenship. You'll receive complete information on required documents well in advance of your departure, so you'll have plenty of time of make arrangements. 

Is motion discomfort a problem?
Not really. The most popular cruise areas boast some of the calmest waters in the world. In addition, stabilizers on modern ships, advance availability of accurate weather information, and development of effective preventative medications have, for the most part, eliminated the incidence of motion discomfort.

Can I use my hair dryer or shaver?
Most ships have 110-volt outlets in the staterooms. But do check with your us to be sure. Many ships even feature hair dryers in your cabin.

Can we celebrate a "special" day?
Absolutely! Most cruise lines will even treat you to a complimentary cake and a chorus of Happy Whatever to honor the occasion. Your birthday or anniversary can be more festive with champagne, flowers, wine or cheese. You can even arrange for a special private party. All you have to do is advise us in advance.

Do cruise lines accept group bookings?
Most lines will work with groups often at reduced rates depending on how many people are involved. Policies vary from company to company and sometimes during certain times of the year. Here is a list of our group specials

How Much Luggage can I bring?
Most cruise lines will allow 2 pieces of checked luggage (not to exceed 70lbs combined weight) and a carry on, such as a back pack or a beach bag per person. If you are flying please check with your airline carrier regarding their own luggage restrictions.

What are the age restrictions on alcohol and gambling?
Most major cruise lines will require you to be 21 years old to drink alcoholic beverages. Age requirements for the casino differs per ship with minimum age requirements of 18 or 21 years of age.

What are the boarding procedures?
Generally, you will be allowed to board two or three hours before the ship sails. Keep in mind that you must be on the ship at least one hour before departure, and the gangway will be pulled thirty minutes before sailing.
Upon completion of check-in, you will receive a guest identification card. This card will serve as your identification on-board. It will also serve as your identification for security procedures when embarking and disembarking the ship and when making purchases on board.
As you walk up the gangway, a member of the cruise staff will welcome you aboard. Your luggage will be delivered to your cabin shortly after it arrives at the ship. You carry nothing but your hand luggage. Once you are on board you are free to explore the ship. Refreshments are available during embarkation and most cruise lines offer a nice buffet lunch (depending on the departure time).

Will I have a shipboard account?
Most cruise lines have set up a “cashless” system designed to make your life on board as simple as possible. You simply sign a receipt for each of your on-board purchases and then settle your shipboard account at the end of the cruise. Cash, VISA, American Express, MasterCard, Discover, and personal or traveler's checks are accepted as payment on most cruise lines.
